At Building Smiles, we believe that every child deserves the freedom to move easily in their own home. Based in Westchester County, our dedicated nonprofit foundation is committed to bringing independence and joy to families with children who use wheelchairs.
Our mission is simple yet impactful: to help children with physical disabilities by retrofitting and constructing ADA compliant elements into their homes. We do this as an effort to create a more functional home environment, give them freedom of movement, and help provide a greater sense of independence.
Serving Westchester County and the surrounding areas, including Fairfield County, CT, we're more than just a service—we're a community. We bring together compassionate volunteers, skilled builders, and generous donors, all united by the desire to make a difference.

Our journey began with a vision to transform lives in our community, one home at a time. We recognize that the world isn't always built around the needs of everyone, and physical barriers in a home can be one of the most challenging obstacles a child with mobility issues may face.
